Lizbeth's Story:

In addition to her academic pursuits, Lizbeth has actively engaged in relevant experiences that have further developed her leadership skills. She has excelled in her role as a Marketing Specialist at Hacienda Bar & Grill, where she demonstrated her expertise in devising engaging content for social media platforms, resulting in a significant increase in online followers and engagement. Lizbeth has also contributed to the Department of Student Engagement at Brandeis University, spearheading marketing and campus outreach efforts, and successfully increasing community engagement and online brand awareness.

Moreover, Lizbeth has taken on significant leadership roles within the university community. As the President of Basement Records, she has overseen club operations, including organizing events and professional workshops. In her position as a Peer Mentor for the TRIO Student Support Services Program, Lizbeth has guided and supported incoming students, ensuring their successful transition to college life. She has also served as a Pride Representative for the Gender and Sexuality Center, organizing drop-in hours and creating a sense of belonging for students.

One of Lizbeth's notable accomplishments includes her role as a Samuels Scholar in the Community Partnerships and Civic Transformation program. She played a pivotal role in organizing "The Melody Mentors," an Action Plan aimed at empowering Africano Waltham high school students through the production of five songs. Lizbeth successfully directed the program's implementation, garnering campus-wide recognition through a press release from BrandeisNOW, reaching a wide audience, and highlighting the positive impact of the initiative.
