Lizbeth's Contributions:

During the project, Lizbeth had the opportunity to interview a representative from the Charles River Watershed Association, who specialized in building green infrastructures. Inspired by this interview, Lizbeth created a video game called "Little Waltham." The objective of the game was to showcase the significance of green infrastructure and community involvement in an immersive and interactive manner.

Lizbeth dedicated her time and efforts to developing the "Little Waltham" video game, carefully integrating elements that highlighted the importance of the Charles River and its impact on indigenous communities and wildlife. The game served as an educational tool, engaging players and raising awareness about the critical role of green infrastructure in preserving the environment.

Encouraged by the success of the video game, Lizbeth decided to create a lantern that represented the interviewee's story and expertise. Collaborating with Andy Li, a Boston-based embroidery artist, Lizbeth meticulously designed and crafted a lantern that incorporated essential elements from the "Little Waltham" video game. Andy Li skillfully sewed these elements onto the lantern, resulting in a unique and visually stunning piece.

Once completed, the "Little Waltham" lantern was proudly displayed on campus and illuminated at night. Its captivating glow attracted attention and created an enchanting ambiance, encouraging viewers to reflect on the importance of green infrastructure and community involvement.

The project reached its climax when the interviewee, who had shared their knowledge and passion for green infrastructure, had the opportunity to visit the "Little Waltham" lantern. Overwhelmed with joy, they expressed their admiration for the representation of their story and the project as a whole. Their approval served as a testament to Lizbeth's successful collaboration with the Charles River Watershed Association and her ability to capture the essence of the association's mission.

Through the project "Little Waltham," Lizbeth Sandoval not only contributed to the educational endeavors of the Charles River Watershed Association but also promoted the vital role of green infrastructure in environmental conservation. The "Little Waltham" video game and lantern served as compelling and visually engaging mediums, captivating audiences and inspiring them to participate in protecting the Charles River and its surrounding environment.
